Stardate: 203398

I keep thinking about my duplicate. Is he doing the same things I would be doing? He'll have the same history, but each day for him since the copying would be slightly different because we could have all made different choices. It's a deep concept. He'll start thinking the same thoughts as me, but as he looks at things from a different perspective he'll become a different person. Which means he's no longer a duplicate. He was a copy, but now he's an individual. Ugh.. I should have concentrated more in Psychology studies

Stardate: 203397

Looked into the Plasma relays and it looks like we received an upgrade while we were in space port. You'd think I would have got the schematics now, wouldn't you ? I'll have to talk to Chief and find out why I didn't

Wednesday, 15 April 2009

Stardate: 203396

Jacks dead. I mean his duplicate. I feel bad, because he was still Jack. I just hope the original Jack is alive.

Tuesday, 14 April 2009

Stardate: 203395

Plasma relays are behaving really odd. I mean.. really well. Which is odd. They're running at 120% at the moment, and they've never done that. I'll have to do some checks. Might even have to chat with Jack and see if he knows of anything.

Monday, 13 April 2009

Stardate: 203394

Apparently we've been contacted by the other Forge. I wonder what it must be like to see yourselves on screen. I don't envy the bridge crew. I'll find out from Chief when I've finished getting my team to do their plasma checks.

Friday, 10 April 2009

Stardate: 203393

It's started. We've scanned another ship like ours. I mean EXACTLY like ours. Which means, they know our weak points, and our strong points. I can't imagine how this will go.

Thursday, 9 April 2009

Stardate: 203392

Chief was in a meeting today with Captain and a load of suggestions were put forward. But it’s a waiting game really. Nobody really knows what’s going on. We finalised a direction where the scan came from, and we’re heading that way. It’s tense, that’s all I know.  Hope Jake is ok.

Wednesday, 8 April 2009

Stardate: 203391

Jake told me that they’re not going to survive. That our Doc found out that their DNA is going to fail.

Great. I feel wonderful about how I’ve treated him now. I mean.. if the original Jake has died already.. it’s too much to bear thinking about.

Tuesday, 7 April 2009

Stardate: 203390

Not sure if anybody is taking this serious. But it's driving me to distraction. There's another one of me somewhere and he's got my history, he knows my family.. he even likes his mothers gravy!

Monday, 6 April 2009

Stardate: 203389

Looks like we've been scanned. Not scanned as in checked over, scanned as in "to make a duplication". None of us know what to expect now. Is it an instant duplication? Are there more than one? There's another one of me somewhere and I don't like it.

Friday, 3 April 2009

Stardate: 203388

The proximity alarms went mental today at 1400 hours.

So this is it... they're close.

So this is it... they're close.

>entry invalid - file already exists.

What?..

Thursday, 2 April 2009

Stardate: 203387

Nothing on the scanners yet. It's getting a bit tense here, I must admit.

Wednesday, 1 April 2009

Stardate: 203386

The Fake Jake found something in the logs of the duplicate Delta today, and mentioned it to his Chief, who in turn passed it through to ours. Some kind of scan apparently, which seemingly went unnoticed. We've set to program our proximity alarms so if we get a similar scan, you won't be able to sleep through the noise. Let's hope it works.

Oh, and for the record, I'm fighting with myself. I don't want to get too close to Jake. I mean.. its not right. Its not him.. but it is.. ugh.. I might have to go see the ships councellor. Its screwing me up.

Tuesday, 31 March 2009

Stardate: 203385

We've been instructed to analyse some of the technology that exists on the Delta. We'll the technology by way of the duplicates. But it's so hard to tell them apart. We might have to go through the logs instead, and see if something occurred while we were away.

Monday, 30 March 2009

Stardate: 203384

Saw Jake today. It was really odd talking to him, because he’s not the real Jake. But he thinks he is. And something else, he remembers everything we did in the Academy.  It’s a violation, I tell you, a violation!

Friday, 27 March 2009

Stardate: 203383

Ok.…. it’s been really spooky here. Everything is a duplicate on the Delta.  Trouble is, they don’t think that they are duplicates, and can’t understand why we opened fire!   They are acting just like the normal crew, and there doesn’t seem to be an ounce of animosity between them toward us.

Thursday, 26 March 2009

Stardate: 203382

We’re going back in for an attack. I hope they know what they are doing, because everything we threw at them just bounced right off their shields. Oh well, Captain knows best… I better get to my station..

Wednesday, 25 March 2009

Stardate: 203381

Wow.. well looks like we both took a bit of a hammering, but thankfully our shields have been updated and modified to stop not only attack on a physical level, but also that on a hidden level. Turns out they were trying to intercept us while they were firing, but our new shields withheld and just need a bit of a recharge.

Tuesday, 24 March 2009

Stardate: 203380

It looks like we’re going to..

** RED ALERT – ALL HANDS TO STATIONS **

Damn.

Monday, 23 March 2009

Stardate: 203379

Engineering has been a bit “jittery” today.  Chief told us to check the algorithms, but it seems that the Delta has been copied.  He’s given us strict rules to not give over any information to them. If we have to “pretend” to be communicating, then we’ll send them false information.  What scares me is none of us know what has happened to the original Delta.  And was it painful, or didn’t they know.. I feel scared today.

Friday, 20 March 2009

Stardate: 203378

We've met up with the Delta. Chief looked worried about some readings and has gone to see Captain. Plasma checks out ok. This ship is on top form.

Thursday, 19 March 2009

Stardate: 203377

Chiefs said we should be back with the Delta tomorrow, we're due to be in contact with them soon. We've been trying to contact them since leaving GE0, buthe thinks their systems are playing up. We'll find out tomorrow.

Wednesday, 18 March 2009

Stardate: 203376

We’re making best speed back to the Delta and it’s nice to be on a ship that’s back to 100% capacity.  Well.. 100% for the record! We have a few tricks up our sleeve for those emergencies, but they are never logged, mainly because if navigation found out they’d want to run it to the max all the time.  But at this speed, we’ll get there in a couple of days.

Tuesday, 17 March 2009

Stardate: 203375

Everybody is keen to go to the bridge. Shocking. What a pathetic display. The men are panting like dogs. Childish. I’m going to exercise my authority and pull these guys to order.

Better yet, I’ll head to the bridge myself.

Monday, 16 March 2009

Stardate: 203374

We’ve set off again. Oddly I spent more time looking at our surrounding home system when we left today. I guess I am appreciating the security of home. But something will always pull me out here. The need to be part of a team, the need to explore, the challenges we face have all made me a better person.

We under the control of the new First Officer, Commander Boswell. She’s a bit ok. I’ll have to make a personal job of checking the plasma conduit’s in the bridge a little more often.

Friday, 13 March 2009

Stardate: 203373

We've finished. And in good time, Captain has something on his mind, and I think most of the crew know too. The GE team have returned to their stations at GE0 and we're finalising everything ready to leave.

Thursday, 12 March 2009

Stardate: 203372

Captain's been touring the ship today. It's nice to know he doesn't expect white glove level of cleanliness when we're trying to fix something. He had a look of determination about him. I wonder what he knows..

Wednesday, 11 March 2009

Stardate: 203371

It's going well. We've had load of modifications to the ship, and I actually got lost today when they changed a corridor to allow for a new plasma generation module. It should boost the throughput of the plasma which will be good for the engines.

Tuesday, 10 March 2009

Stardate: 203370

Chief let me spend my nights at home, and it's taken me about half an hour to get my home log journal to recognise my voice. I think it's due for the latest upgrade.

Monday, 9 March 2009

Stardate: 203369

Its been hard work, but we're doing ok. GE have some cool new toys that they are bolting on, which could make things interesting. I miss home.

Friday, 6 March 2009

Stardate: 203368

We’re home. Not that I’ll see much of it. Chief has ordered me to stay and help for a bit, we’ve made a few mods that GE0 want to know about.

I need a break though, I might get something soon, it all depends how long we’re staying.

Thursday, 5 March 2009

Stardate: 203367

We're already logged into GE0's Computer system, even though we're not docked yet. We're almost close enough to be tractor beamed in, and although it's standard procedure for ships without much engine control, Captain's probably not happy that they'll do it. He's a fighter right to the end. But with these engines, if we try and dock ourselves, we could smash into the space dock.. and port.. and command centre.. and.. well lets wait for the tractor beam.

Wednesday, 4 March 2009

Stardate: 203366

Ok. Engineering are blaming the bridge - namely the Navigator, and they are blaming us. Basically he tried to push it too fast, based on some stupid idea that if we go faster we could drift the rest of the way. Engines almost almost stalled and would have sent us in a spin because the aft stablisers have no plasma control. Try docking that Mister!

Tuesday, 3 March 2009

Stardate: 203365

Ok.. this vibration is making me feel sick. You only miss things when you don't have them. I miss home too.. can't wait to get there

Monday, 2 March 2009

Stardate: 203364

It is all hands on deck at the moment. Chief called us all up in the middle of the night to explain that if we’re going to make it back home, we’re going to need to get everything out of this engine before it collapses on us.  It’s all out of whack at the moment. Oh, for any technical bods reading this, out of whack means it’s pyroclyptic gyrobalance is out of alignment and we don’t have the necessary equipment to get it back to zero deviance. Now you know why I said out of whack.

Friday, 27 February 2009

Stardate: 203363

Chief says we’d be home in about a week. To be honest, I think we all need it. And I need a bath. I wonder if rations would allow it?

Thursday, 26 February 2009

Stardate: 203362

Had an interesting meeting with Commander Stratton, who finally seemed to be satisfied that I had dotted all my I’s and crossed every T. He realised that in such a situation it was hard to know what might happen, but it was his duty to conduct the enquiry.

We’ve slogged hard today, desperate to get this wrecked ship back to GE0. We’ve managed to do some tweaking as a team and got the thing to fly a bit faster. Chief wanted to tell Captain, as he thought he’d appreciate some good news.

Wednesday, 25 February 2009

Stardate: 203361

We’ve worked on repairing the Plasma conduits today, but my work is interrupted by this enquiry. Got to go to the Mess hall in a few moments.  But we’re moving. Heading home I believe.

Tuesday, 24 February 2009

Stardate: 203360

We’ve stuffed out against the Doctors orders! Something about allowing our bodies to adapt.. yeah right. Apparently an enquiry is being set up to find out why Wilson almost ended up with the stars. Hope I did everything right!

Monday, 23 February 2009

Stardate: 203359

Oh my, Wilson, you really got me worried then. Chief managed to get a moving target lock on Wilson and get him back to safety. The plasma is gone, and all the doors are open again, so we’ve been “excused” for a few days to recover. I’m just about to meet Wilson at Sickbay, although I must admit, I’d rather head to the Mess Hall and stuff myself silly with food!! I feel so weak

Saturday, 21 February 2009

Stardate: 203358

I've enable remote voice log entry although I hope this holds out while I.. eugh.. I jump across from one side of the ship to the other. I remembered our space walk's trainer, and his point in making sure I'm always strapped to the ship, even if it makes my journey slower. Ok, I've got to the manual release. Wilson should be ready to pull the lever, and as soon as I pull this, it will suck anything not strapped down out of the ship, namely our plasma.

Right, hope you're ready for this Wilson, its the agreed time. Just pull this... eugh...

OH NO!  NO!! WILSON!!! WILSON!!!

>error out of range

Thursday, 19 February 2009

Stardate: 203357

Ok, Wilson is going to have to crank the safety latch because the plasma leak has caused the safety bubble to explode, locking the hatch. It’s a safety feature to stop people salvaging stuff from a floating vessel that’s full of contaminant.  Teleporters would warn them if it’s too hazardous to beam in to, opening the door to this stuff is a little more dangerous.  I get to space walk across from the port to starboard side. Wilson will have to hold on tight when the door opens. Hope he remembers that.

Wednesday, 18 February 2009

Stardate: 203356

It hasn’t worked, We spent all day trying to find a way to get it to work from within engineering, but we’ve come to the conclusion that we’re going to have to go outside and do this manually. That means a space walk for one of us, and Wilson has never done it before. That means me.

We better inform Chief and work out a routine of what we’re going to have to do, because Wilson will have to do something on this side while I am outside. He might prefer the space walk.

Tuesday, 17 February 2009

Stardate: 203355

Ok, we’ve been waiting for Chief to open the bay doors and flush out engineering completely. We’re in our airlock suits and strapped to something solid..hold on.. there’s a noise..this could be it..

Monday, 16 February 2009

Stardate 203354

I’ve set up a dummy log account for Chief and I to post to, so that we can get messages in and out. It was a little crude, but crude is working at the moment.  They’re deciding what to do, so Wilson and I are sitting here waiting. I am so hungry, it’s starting to make my mind a bit of a blur.

Friday, 13 February 2009

Stardate: 203353

It was Chief Hanson! He tried to hack my system but I was blocking his moves until I recognised one of his algorithms.  Right, now we have contact we can work together to get this sorted.

Wilson had a good idea that if we put on our airlock suits, we might be able to open some bay doors and flush this part of the ship out of all the leaked plasma, We’re locked out from here so might have to get Chief to do it, or we’ll have to do it manually. But that might mean going outside and the controls aren’t easy to get to from here. Any volunteers?

Thursday, 12 February 2009

Stardate: 203352

Well, we’re doing ok but starting to flag a little from the lack of food.  Wilson found a couple of banana’s left behind by somebody who was planning to eat at their station, which we scoffed quite quickly.  I never understood the purpose of rationing out food, but that’s probably why I am hungry again alrea  5 435  ^^£”

What the..

Ha! Somebody’s trying to hack my log while I’m using it!! Well, they can chew on some of these algorithms..

>$$!))”_”* sjj! >1c00s lockout < 2001 152 104:”11

Haha.. that’ll keep ‘em guessing. Chew on that matey!

Wednesday, 11 February 2009

Stardate: 203351

Looks like Chief was able to redirect the major part of the plasma flow away from the engines, because the engines shut down and I didn’t do it. And I’m not alone. Ensign Wilson was here caught in a plasma conduit when the blast doors closed, so at least I have company. He’s not hurt but a little claustrophobic over being “shut in”, even though engineering takes up a good 25% of the ships mass!  None of the internal sensors are working and we still can’t get a message outside. We need to get the plasma leak down, or the blast doors will remain shut. I’m hungry too, the replicators don’t work in here because nobody is expected to be inside the blast doors!

Tuesday, 10 February 2009

Stardate: 203350

Ok.. that wasn’t a clever day.  Woke with a hangover after being stupidly drunk. Gwen lost, but I took it wrong, thinking it had been a fix.  I met Herman in the corridor and, well… we got into a little bit of a… a fight. Anyway, he’s substantially stronger than me, which goes to prove he could have won the competition.. anyway, I’m rambling and long and short of it is that he swung at me, I ducked and he hit a plasma cover so hard that it punctured the plasma manifold behind and ruptured into a major plasma leak.  I can’t get behind the cover at the moment so I don’t know what else has happened, but it looks like everybody has got out of engineering and the blast doors have closed and sealed. Unless I can get this thing fixed, the blast doors will remain closed.  I’ve accessed my logs from within engineering but nothing else seems to be getting out. I better get back to work and see what I can do I guess the crew are on the other side of the doors trying to figure out how to get in!

Stardate: 203348

Been working hard today, but we seem to be getting more and more speed out of her. Chief's doing a grand job at organising us all. Sad to think that we're already starting to forget the old Chief. I won't let that happen, I won't!

Thursday, 5 February 2009

Stardate: 203347

Go Gwe-hen, Go Gwe-hen, Go.. oops..

Wow, that was great, Gwen is in the FINAL!! YAY!!

Ok I take back my comments yesterday. It was mildly exciting.

I need to log off and get some kip, got some catch up work to do on the late shift..

Go Gwe-hen..

Wednesday, 4 February 2009

Stardate: 203346

I don’t believe it. They’ve started up the Sports Lounge Championship again. We’re already struggling for crew to get this ship moving. But to make matters worse, they’ve renamed it the Thomas DuMond Cup – after our poor Chief. For the record, while they call it that, you will not get me….

>error unrecognisable signal

Yes Chief..

>error unrecognisable signal

I’ve been “advised” to go. Chief told me it would be good for all officers to attend as we need to set the lead. I am not going to enjoy this.

Tuesday, 3 February 2009

Stardate: 203345

Had to go to medical today, a plasma relay blew right beside me. It was my own fault, I was being cocky and showing off. Taught me never to say “I know what I’m doing, I’ve done this a thousand times before”.

Monday, 2 February 2009

Stardate: 203344

We’re slowly making steady progress back to GE0, but to be honest I think we’re overcooking it still. But Chief has it all in hand and he has a good sense of what this ship can manage. I’m growing to like him more and more, but still miss our old Chief.  We’re still working hard to cope with blowing plasma relays. Let’s not do battle with anybody, because I get the feeling we wouldn’t last very long..

Friday, 30 January 2009

Stardate: 203343

We found a way to detect the fakes! Chief told Captain, but although he logged the information, he made the decision to continue back to GE0. I'm grateful in a way, the further we can get away from the Storm copy, the better.

Thursday, 29 January 2009

Stardate: 203342

Engineering has suddenly become like a crime scene. We've all been analysing the information and its more mind blowing than the time travel scenario.  We've discovered it's been copied particle by particle. Chief's gone to inform the Captain.  We're trying to find a way to tell the difference between the original and the fake and how to disable it!

Wednesday, 28 January 2009

Stardate: 203341

Oh that was clever… oh very clever…   The Storm has been COPIED!!  Wow.. How do you prevent THAT? Going to look into a way to stop that happening to us now!

Tuesday, 27 January 2009

Stardate: 203340

Told Chief about my theory and I must admit, we had a chuckle about the Time Travel scenario.  But then he went quiet and started moving some of the components around again.  I think he’s on to something, but I’m shattered and have excused myself to get some sleep.  We’ve all been working hard and Chief has just said to take sleep when we need it as opposed to having scheduled breaks. It’s working to some extent. Anyway, let’s hope he’s working it out. I can’t believe I am going to bed this early..

Monday, 26 January 2009

Stardate: 203339

Wow. It’s been a tough day.  We’ve all been working on analysing the Storm’s shrapnel and it’s getting mighty confusing down there.  There’s a few ideas about what’s happened to it.  Some say they went through a black hole. Others are saying that they might have been too close to an exploding star. The most popular theory is that they’ve managed to travel back in time.. but.. there are so many paradoxes, and if they had cracked it, then we would have seen time travellers already. My mind is blown just with the thought of it. I mean, they could have travelled through time and arrived just before they travelled through time and crashed into…

Hang on, I have an idea.. it’ll just be snubbed as a silly theory, but.. it’s worth a shot…

Friday, 23 January 2009

Stardate: 203338

Yay for the Delta, they've found the log module.  We're still putting together some other bits and pieces that we've teleported over. It just doesn't add up though. Something's not right with some of this gear. We're going to run some analysis on it.

Thursday, 22 January 2009

Stardate: 203337

Woke up to a "red alert" as we detected the Storm! But as we got closer, we dropped the status to yellow as we found it in pieces! Something hit it hard. Chief has started teleporting parts of it into the cargo bays and we've been organised into teams to piece parts of it together to see if we can work out what happened. Nobody has found the log module yet, which will give us every piece of information right up to the last moment..

Wednesday, 21 January 2009

Stardate: 203336

Feeling a little unwell today, but Chief was ok about it and told me to take the day off. I went to medical and Doc gave me a few sprays to boost me up but said that "good old fashion rest" is what I needed. It's times like this that you miss the people you hold dear, when you have nothing to keep your thoughts occupied.

Tuesday, 20 January 2009

Stardate: 203335

We've been sharing shifts with some of the crew of the Delta, which is helping speed up repairs. They have some good crew aboard, but some of them have been bemused with our "adaptations", which made us smile. But then, our ship can go quicker than most when it's operating at full whack. We're still keeping our eyes out for the Storm.

Monday, 19 January 2009

Stardate: 203334

We scanned a vessel yesterday, and the GE-Delta arrived on the scene.  It's good to see a friendly ship that doesn't open fire, and I must admit I was just waiting for some attack.  We're all trying to work out what happened to the Storm, but right now, we have repairs to get on with. The Storm is still out there somewhere and could be repairing themselves faster than we are, so we must get ready.  The Delta will likely offer to help.

Friday, 16 January 2009

Stardate: 203333

Our team has worked hard. We've managed to repair most of the plasma relays and Gwen said that they've managed to get the nidus dish back online with about half of the scanner power. That's got to be better than nothing. Hanson has managed to get propulsion back, but only to half the normal subsonic speed we could normally achieve. But we could get back to GEO at a reasonable pace, which I think is where we need to be, some parts you just cannot replicate.

Thursday, 15 January 2009

Stardate: 203332

We launched Chief’s Escape Pod today at 10:00. It’s been programmed to find a nearby uninhabited planet and soft land there. Looks like we get a new Chief, as Hanson’s doing a good job and got us all motivated to get going after the service. I’m starting to like him, and we’ve organised our team to get the plasma cell’s back up to scratch after the beating we got. Gwen’s leading the team on the scanners and Nidus Dish, which was heavily damaged. Hope we get something soon, as it feels like somebody has a blindfold on us.

Wednesday, 14 January 2009

Stardate:203331

I've been let out again with an "off the record" caution. I've apologised to O'Hara, but I must admit it was more a sense of duty than from the heart.  A service is being arranged tomorrow and we've decorated his escape pod in respectful colours. Not looking forward to tomorrow at all. Hanson seems ok, doing a good job in a bad situation.

Tuesday, 13 January 2009

Stardate: 203330

I’ve been “sent to my room” to cool off. O’Hara had the audacity to come into engineering and about 6 of us pounced on him. Hanson called security and when the other 5 got off him, I kept going. Stratton came in and sent me here to cool off.  I was glad he didn’t put me in the brig or something, but Hanson called me a few moments ago and said he was going to overlook it because tension was high. But the comment that really hurt was when he said that Chief would have been upset that his team of engineers had lost it so soon. He’s right.

I miss Chief. He was a good man.

Monday, 12 January 2009

Stardate: 203329

I don’t know what to say. Engineering has gone deadly silent at the news. Tensions are high and O’Hara is hiding. If he dare step foot in Engineering, I swear..

Friday, 9 January 2009

Stardate: 203328

Not much time to leave an entry today, We're all working double shift to get the ship back into a reasonable state.. That'll be interesting, we can't even do that in space dock!

Thursday, 8 January 2009

Stardate: 203327

We've been appointed a "temp" Chief until Chief is ready to return. A Leutenant Commander Hanson is our Chief for a bit, and he's got a hard fight on his hands to get us motivated again. Our subsonic drive was venting gasses that were deemed explosive, and Chief approached it to seal it off just as it reached critical level. O'Hara should have sealed it within 10 seconds of it becoming active and he ran off beause of the attacks of the other ship. I have a serious piece of my mind to give him!

Wednesday, 7 January 2009

Stardate: 203326

Chief is hurt. Bad. He did something that most of us would have done.. put his life at risk to save the ship and others on it. But now theres a bad feeling down here in engineering because Ensign O'Hara chickened out and Chief stepped in. If I find O'Hara.. I swear..
